When I have a holidays, I tend to be a slack no matter how long the holiday is. Books are forbidden and what I will do is just taking my own sweet time doing the things I like. Watching movies, playing games, and listening to the teaching of master will be just nice for me!! Anyway, who doesn't like holiday? haha.
Escaping from the fact that there was one important essay waiting to be completed, I spent most of my time hanging around with my friends. After the wonderful barossa trip, there wasn't enough time for us to have a long distance trip anymore. Haiz... Anyway, passing our holidays in the city was not a bad suggestion after all. We had experienced an interesting event like anzac day and had a simple trip to the mawson lake.
Anzac day, which stands for Australian and New Zealand Army crops, was the day to honour the soldiers that had fought for the country during world war 1. It was a big event in Australia and it gave us a great chance to witness the parade. What we had done were basically enjoying ourselves taking the photos with the statue around the city and had some fun visiting the beautiful church at north adelaide.
Talking about mawson, lake it was actually a mistake for us to think that it was a nice place to visit. ( Jien thanks K for that. Wuahahaha..) Anyway, we ended up experiencing the COLD wind and coffee in adelaide. I think It will be the bitterest coffee I had ever drink ( for what jien had ordered, I really feel amazed by how small the cup of coffee is. )
Finally my holidays ended with the sweet memories.. Hope I will enjoy my life here just like enjoying the holidays.. Cheers!!

Barossa Valley Trip!! Teach me the real meaning of wine!!
If you are a wine lover, Barossa Valley will be a place that you will like to visit. Situated in a strategic place surrounded by moutains, Barossa Valley has the suitable climate that favors the growth of vines which makes it to be the producer of 70 percent of the wines for all over the world ( Tour guide 2008 ). There are around 200 vineyards in Barossa Valley and you can have your own sweet time testing all different kind of wines from different vineyards. If you wish to buy a good and unique wine, that will be a nice place for you.
Departed at 8.40am from the Adelaide city, we were brought to the Barossa Valley by a small van driven by a special tour guide ( He is indeed special as he was once a teacher and a principle before. ). Along the way, we enjoyed sight-seeing and chatting with each other. There are 15 of us and yeah, we indeed occupied the whole bus!! haha. As I have mentioned above, Barossa Valley is a VALLEY that surrounded by mountains which means we need to pass some winding roads before we get there. It was like riding a roller coaster which had made some of us to feel nauseous.
The first stop is the big rocking horse ( a small wild life park and a toy shop )that give us the chance to experience the feeling of touching kangaroos, sheeps , peacocks and wallabies!!. Trust me, it was really fun to take pictures with all the animals while you can be so close with them. The animals weren't restricted inside the cage and we were allowed to do whatever we want with the condition we must not harm the animals. I bet you will see a lot of camera with different brands taken out by the tourist. Why the place is called the big rocking horse?? Simple! There is one huge rocking horse in that place. How big is it? The world biggest rocking horse!! It is almost 4 story high and if you are interested please feel free to vist my face book to have a look of that amazing horse. I didn't went up there as we needed to pay a few dollars to do so.
After that is the wine testing section. During this trip, we visited four vineyards which produces different taste of wine. For the wine rookies like us, we couldn't differentiate the tastes between the wines initially. However, after a few cups, the wines started to become familiar and we managed to get their names from their taste. Sorry to say that I couldn't remember the names of all the vineyards we visited. If you want more information, you may go to joyce's blog to find out their names. I am blur huh.. Yes, I am.. haha.. All kinds of expression could be seen during the wine testing.. But most of them said " Eww.. so bitter.. I prefer carbonated drinks more..". Haha. Among us there are a few people allergic to alcohol too. Several of them even had their faces as red as tomatoes after drinking certain amount of wine. hahaha..
All the vineyards are beautifully decorated with wine-related products and it gave me a feelings that I was in a bar. The adventure to these vineyards was indeed worth of the money we had spent for it. The experience was further colourized by the astonishing meal we had for our lunch. Again, I had the pitures in my facebook and I would provide you all a link to view the wonderful picture I had.
Our last checkpoint will be the whispering wall, a dam with a special property that allows the voice to transfer from one side of the dam to another. The people from the other side can hear us clearly even we whispered. The wonderfulness of engineering and architecture had stunned us in our last stop of the trip.
It was a lovely and nice day to be remembered of. After having my first trip in Australia, I hope I can have a few more in the coming holidays. It will be wonderful if 15 of us can have a trip together again!!

17th of April Finally!! My computer is alive again!!!
My laptop was put to sleep for about four days due to the broke down of my adapter. That will be the reason why I didn't update my post until today. Here I will write about a few things I had experienced in these four days.
13rd of April ----- Church day!! It was the first time I went to a church. The design of the church was really similar the one in the movie. The shape, the decoration and the ornament gave me a holy feeling ( I thought of a holy angel giving a priest a Bible once I got in there. :P:P ) It was really fun to know how they pray and learn the teaching from the priest ( The church I went is a catholic church). In most of the events, they sang with wonderful melody. It is kind of interesting although I hardly understand what they are doing. What I had done was just following the people in front of me. When they knelt I knelt, when they stood I stood, but when they sang of course I kept quiet as I dunno how to sing their songs! After praying sections and teaching sections conducted by the honorable priest, there was one event which gave holy communions to those who are faithful to the god. For non-christian like me, we were given blessings! haha. Happy to get blessing though. :P:P
14th to 17th of April ---- I enrolled in the english coursework organized by the learning connection of west campus. Therefore, I spent my morning and afternoon in the campus everyday to learn some stuff like reading skill, writing skill, referencing skill and oral presentation skill. Hope I had learn something from the voluntary course though sometimes I was not really concentrating in some of the lectures.I felt guilty about that. haha. The life without laptop on one hand was troublesome but on the other hand, I had more time to sleep because I had nothing else to do. ( don't feel like studying :P:P) In fact, I could hardly do anything without this important tool. Even for my assignments require the use of computer.
And so I received the adapter from Dell yesterday. Everything was back to normal from that day on. haha. Thanks to the service of Dell, my lovely Green Dell was alive again. Do you guys miss me? I don't think so. :P:P Attention, tomorrow I will have a trip to the wine factories in Adelaide. Here I promise you guys that I will upload as many beautiful pictures as I could. haha. Just look forward to it!! Enjoy!!

7th of April Dr Sykes!! You are my idol!!! haha... Thank you!!
Dr Matt Sykes!!! My chemistry lecturer!!! Today I am going to talk about him. As he had helped
As I had mentioned above, his name initiates with DR which means that he is a PhD holder. And behold!! He is not really old! haha. When I first saw him, the first thought was: "This lecturer is friendly and approachable!!" As days go on, my assumption is proved to be correct!! Everyone likes him not just because he is handsome, his teachings are indeed interesting as well!!
Last Friday I had my chemistry test in Brookman building. Very sorry to say, my 'dai tao ha' syndrome hit me again!!! This time was the worst!!! Can you believe that? I left my student ID card in the examination hall!!! The funny part was I didn't notice that until today!!! When I took out my wallet to pay for my lunch, I was totally freaked out!!! haha.. I deserve that!! After some critical thinking ( Cheh.. learned from COMM class huh! ), I guessed that Dr Sykes might have taken it and kept it. Indeed, he did!!! When I received his email, I felt like jumping into the sky!!!
It was sad that I could only show my gratitude by saying " Thank you sir!!" Haha. Here once again, I would like to say " THANK YOU DR SYKES!!! YOU ARE THE BEST!!" :P:P I am advised that there was another girl who did the same thing but unfortunately, Dr Sykes couldn't find her card. "You are lucky! I couldn't find hers, but I found yours! Cheers! " This was what he said in this afternoon.
If all the lecturers were like him, obviously I will enjoy my study here!!!haha.. Cheers!!

The dinner of MySA
In order to improve my English further, I decided to write an extra post today. This will be a post about the MySA dinner that I had joined just now. It isn't an interesting event though I will try my best to make it as attractive as I can.
This dinner was organized by MySA ( malaysia student association) and it was subsidized by AMBC ( Australia Malaysia Business Council ). The restaurant was situated near to china town and of course it was a Malaysian restaurant. Normally, we need to pay 15 dollars for a meal in that restaurant but with the subsidy from AMBA, we just need to pay 9 dollars!!
Naqip, Kamal, Syamil, Pian, Jien, Jeremy and I were the only guys from UniSA city east campus. Regardless of the small number of people we know, we enjoyed the delicious food provided. We had chicken wings, Hainan chickens, fish curry, roti canai and kangkong! If you want to make me happy, just treat me something that is green! haha.
People enjoyed chatting around.... The wind was blowing...... They didn't know... The dooms were coming.... May be one day they will know. But would it be too late?? We shall never know.

4th of April The Glenelg beach!!
Recently I notice that my posts are getting shorter and shorter. Hrm.. To compensate it, I will have write a LONG and most importantly WITHOUT any spelling and grammar mistakes one( Hopefully ). I think I need to be careful every time I write a post now. The mistakes I made are beyond my imagination. Thanks to Te Ying who makes me aware of my ignorance. Te Ying is currently my grammar teacher now. Her job is to correct my post and make sure my post doesn't have any grammar error. Thank you!! haha. These are the things that I have been experiencing these few days.
Friday was the day that everyone in Australia is looking forward to. The reasons? You should know. haha. For students like us. Weekends allow us to rest, to play and to finish the endless tutorials. What had i done in this lovely Friday?? It was started by a chemistry test!!! Kind of disappointing isn't it?? haha. No worries!! As the saying goes, after the bitterness comes the sweetness of life!! The first test was not really difficult. We had learned most of the knowledge during our A-levels, therefore we didn't have much problem in this test. Being careful in this test would be enough to get a high mark.
Assessments always followed by entertainments!! So did the simple assessment this time. I had my wonderful time watching the teaching of Venerable Master CK and playing DOTA with Kah Jien!! haha. The happy hours were then continued by a trip to Glenelg beach! We took a 30 minutes trem to the popular beach and we were welcomed by the heart-warming sea wind ( It is cold instead, but I still like it!! ). The sound of the waves, the singing of the seagulls, the cheerful voices of my friends, and the mesmerizing sunset calmed my heart. Everyone was totally engulfed by the beautifulness of nature. Taking picture was a necessity and don't be amazed by the number of cameras we had!! haha. Oh ya! The beaches in Pulau Redang are still the most beautiful beaches I had ever seen. Just try to experience it yourself if you have the chance to do so!
After playing, what is next?? Of course it will be a satisfying meal!! We went to the noodle house in china town and had some fabulous noodles!! haha. I was amazed by the different kinds of noodles they had!! I ordered 'shi chuan dan dan mian' and that was a good choice! The taste was nice and of course, it was filling as well ( they served a lot of noodles ). haha. Although it cost me 7 dollars, the meal gave me a really good time. haha.
If someone says boys can't chat like girls, which means boys seldom chat for a long time, I bet you will change your mind. We had a long chat in UV apartment after the enjoyable meal! Basically the chat was about the our lives and all sorts of interesting events happened among our friends. I would not write about anything about the chat here as it will be meaningless to you all. haha. What I learned from the discussion yesterday was there were indeed so many kinds of people with different opinions in this world. :P:P
Here are some pictures!! Hope you will enjoy it! Is this post long enough? Please bear with me if it isn't. haha! Cheers!!!!

2 of April Curry chicken + Hail storm = ???
There were two special things happened today!!! Haha. It may seem normal to you. But indeed, it is a nice day for me!! haha.
We had curry chicken today!!! The delicious dish was cooked by the professional in UV apartment again. Haha. It makes me miss the tasty curry vegetables by my mom!!! On the other hand, I just found out that many people still haven't tried curry vegetables before. -.- More surprisingly, they never heard of it. haha. I would ask my mom to cook it for you all if one day you manage to visit me in Tampin!! haha.
Before the enjoyable dinner, we were amazed by the Hail storm!! haha That was the first time i experienced a hail storm. It was ice dropping from the sky instead of snow but we still enjoyed it anyway. The scenery was fantastic and i feel regretful as my camera wasn't with me. If It is I will probably capture a astonishing video!! haha.
These few days we were puzzled by the endless tutorial and test.. Please give me luck!! haha. Here are some pictures about the hail storm and curry chicken!! Yummy!!

1st of April Learning connection here i come!!!
Haha.. I will attend an english course soon!! Guess what!! It is totally free. The course is provided by the Uni to push up our english level before we face any troubles during the third year which requires a lot of language skills.. I am quite happy to enrol in it. It gives me the opportunity to improve my english.. I have so many grammar mistakes in both oral and writing. This will be a good chance to wipe off all the errors.
Basically, we need to engage in the course if we fail the test given by the Uni for communication in health. It is to test our english competency and to determine whether we need help in the language especially for international students. Even if we fail it, it will not affect our credits.. haha. So this will be a great chance for me. However, I am worried that this course is not efficient enough to improve my english up to the standard required in such a short time. Anyway, I will try my best!! haha.
For those who failed like me ( almost 70 percent of us ). Let's enjoy the course!! haha. For those who passed, congrats!!!!!
